We made our debut at CyberUK 2025 in Manchester, the UK's premier government cybersecurity conference. Discover our experience exhibiting alongside industry leaders and key takeaways from this transformative event.

The sprintworks Team at CyberUK

The sprintworks team is still buzzing from an incredible few days at CyberUK 2025 in Manchester! We had the fantastic opportunity to exhibit and the experience was nothing short of inspiring.

A massive thank you to Plexal for hosting us. Their commitment to fostering innovation in the cybersecurity sector is truly commendable, and being part of their startup environment at such a prestigious event was invaluable. The support and platform they provided allowed us to connect with so many key players and potential partners.

CyberUK 2025, held at Manchester Central from May 6th to 8th, was a hive of activity, bringing together thousands of cyber security leaders and professionals. The overarching theme, "Transforming Resilience. Countering Threats.," resonated deeply with us at sprintworks and was a common thread throughout the keynotes, workshops, and discussions.

Here are some of the key messages and takeaways we gathered:

  • The Evolving Threat Landscape: Discussions constantly circled back to the dynamic nature of cyber threats. The sophistication of adversaries, particularly in areas like AI-driven attacks and exploitation of cloud vulnerabilities, means that static defence is no longer enough.
  • Resilience is Key: The focus is shifting from solely preventing breaches to building robust resilience. This means not only having strong defences but also the ability to detect, respond, and recover quickly and effectively when incidents do occur.
  • Collaboration and Ecosystem Growth: There was a strong emphasis on the need for greater collaboration across the public and private sectors, as well as fostering a supportive ecosystem for cyber startups. Events like CyberUK are crucial for forging these vital connections.
  • Transforming Technology: The conference highlighted how emerging technologies, while sometimes creating new vulnerabilities, also offer powerful tools for transforming our defensive capabilities. AI and machine learning in threat detection and response were particularly hot topics.
  • The Human Element: Beyond the technology, the importance of cyber skills, awareness, and building a security-conscious culture within organisations was repeatedly stressed.

For sprintworks, CyberUK 2025 was the perfect launchpad. The insights gained and connections made will be instrumental as we move forward with our mission to help transform the defence sector through technology.

It was incredibly interesting to see the breadth of innovation on display and to hear from leading experts about the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the cyber domain. We left energised and even more committed to playing our part in transforming resilience and countering threats.

We're excited for the future of sprintworks and look forward to continuing the conversations started at CyberUK!
